Sie hat sich neben der alljährlich im Herbst stattfindenden Kunstmesse art forum etabliert und lädt seit 2004 mit stetig wachsender Teilnehmer-, wie Besucherzahl junge internationale Galerien ein. Mit einem sicheren Gespür für die Auswahl zeitgemäßer Aussteller, kann sie als Seismograf für Strömungen in der aktuellen Kunst verstanden werden und avancierte so zu einem Ort, an dem aktiv Trends gesetzt werden. Standort Haus Cumberland Das 1912 erbaute Baudenkmal von Robert Leibnitz, der auch das Hotel Adlon zeichnete, war zunächst als 'Boarding-Palast' gedacht. Das 5 Sterne Hotel bot mehrzimmerige Suiten mit eigenen Hausdienern an. Bis zum Ausbruch des 1. Weltkrieges wurde das Luxushotel mit 700 Betten und prächtigen Festsälen direkt am Kurfürstendamm unter dem Namen 'Cumberland' betrieben. Das edle Interieur mit reich verzierten Stuckdecken, Deckengemälden, Edelholzvertäflungen sind in vielen Zimmern erhalten. Die Galerien auf der BERLINER LISTE 2008 präsentieren ihre Künstler im mondänen Charme eines komplett leer stehenden Luxushotels mitten in der Innenstadt, 20 Minuten vom ART FORUM in den Messehallen entfernt. Die von uns optimal ausgeleuchteten und weiß getünchten Suiten und miteinander verbundenen Räume eignen sich hervorragend für eine aufregende Messepräsentation.	Location House Cumberland This historic architectural monument, built in 1912 from Robert Leibnitz who also built the Adlon Hotel in Berlin, was first termed a 'Boarding Palace'. The old 5 star hotel offered suites, with private hotel servants. Up to the outbreak of the 1st World War the five-star hotel under the name 'Cumberland was pursued for its 700 beds and splendid halls. Now the empty building awaits renovation. A noble interior, with richly decorated stucco covers, wall paintings, and wood panels is found in many rooms. The building is located on the Kurfürstendamm in the main and most known shopping street of Berlin! The galleries of BERLINER LISTE 2008 present their artists in the fashionable charm of a completely empty five-star hotel in the middle of Berlin’s city centre. The hotel is only 20 minutes away from the main fair, ARTFORUM. We will illuminate the suites, without furnishings, to provide an optimal white cube exhibition space. They are very well suited for a thrilling fair presentation, and we expect more that 10,000 international collectors and curators!
