Gallery Bastejs Gallery Bastejs gallery was founded in year 1993. Till 2005 the gallery was under Latvian University and Latvian Art Academy as their representation official gallery. Since year 2005 gallery is a private enterprise led and owned by Mrs. Baiba Morkane, a pervious director of Gallery Bastejs. Currently Gallery Bastejs is situated in the old town of Latvia...s capital city Riga. Gallery Bastejs focuses on Latvian contemporary figurative art with our leading artists - Franceska Kirke, Ritums Ivanovs, Normunds Braslins,Helena Heinrihsone and Ivars Heinrihsons.
