Gallery LUMIERE made its first step in April 2004 with its opening exhibition, \"The Masterpiece of Photography in the 20th Century,\" followed by \"Henri Cartier-Bresson: the Decisive Moment.\" As one of the precedent fine art photography galleries in Korea, the gallery represents both internationally recognized artists and emerging artists around the world. In 2006 Gallery Lumière established a biennial award LIPA (Lumière International Photography Award), which is intended for the new generation of innovative photographers. Through this award, gallery LUMIERE gives talented photographers an opportunity to present their works in the global art world. This year at the Berliner Liste, gallery LUMIERE is presenting the following three artists, the inaugural LIPA winner Yun Lee, LIPA 2008 winner Ari Kakkinen and Cara Judea Alhadeff.
