McBride Fine Art will bring photographers as Simon Norfolk (1963- UK) – who has made the all-encompassing human endeavor of warfare the topic of his analysis.
Also on show are rare Dye-transfers by the German artist Thomas Grünfeld (D- 1956) (best know for his taxidermical “Misfits” Series, depict apparent classical nude photography. The portfolio is conceptual in spirit and as such, a reference to the work of the Italian designer and architect Carlo Molino.
Deeply steeped in the Basel school of graphic design, the work of Dirk Broemmel(1969) takes on everyday large objects - such as a “ship” or a “tree”, which eventually resurface, de-contexualized, reformatted and surprisingly intelligible on di-bond and behind acrylic glass.
Benjamin Katz (1939) has documented the world of art, since the 1970s. Currently a large format edition of his most iconic images is emanating from his archive of several hundred thousand negatives.
